The 2007 Lincoln Mark LT SuperCrew is available both as a rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive truck. For 2007 you can also select between a 139-inch wheelbase and one that measures 150 inches. Where last year you could only have a five and a half foot bed behind your spacious cab, this year you can select a six and a half foot bed. No matter how long the bed or the space between the wheels, Ford's 5.4L V8 engine resides under the hood. This modern engine uses an overhead camshaft design unlike some of the competition's older overhead valve design. The Mark LT's motor makes 300 horsepower and a healthy 365 lb-ft of torque. It is backed up by a smooth-shifting five-speed automatic transmission. Luxury is the norm in the Mark LT. The leather bucket seats are heated and power adjustable, and have a memory feature. The interior materials are of a similar quality to those found in a Lincoln luxury sedan. Ergonomic touches such as ample center console storage and an easy-to-read instrument cluster make the Mark LT particularly welcoming. The audio system is particularly impressive. Besides the expected AM/FM stereo receiver, there is also an in-dash six-disc CD changer, and an auxiliary input jack for portable media devices. Standard 18-inch aluminum wheels, fog lamps, heated mirrors, and automatic climate controls complete the package. But the Mark LT is not just about luxury. Under the skin it is every bit as tough as a Ford F-150. Depending on the bed length and drive configuration, the Mark LT can haul up to 1,680 pounds in the bed, or it can tow as much as 8,900 pounds. Traction assist, ABS, automatic headlamps, and front air bags comprise the standard safety equipment. For enhanced safety, a reverse sensing system can be added. Other useful optional equipment includes a locking rear differential, a tow package, and navigation. A number of packages add all manner of luxury equipment, such as power pedals, electrochromic exterior mirrors, and a power rear window.
